Owl and Owl Pellet Program

This program does not include animal ambassador time. This program looks at the ecology of owls in Saskatchewan. Unlike other birds of prey, owls cannot digest their prey’s bones. What’s left behind instead is known as an owl pellet. Scientists use these pellets to study the biodiversity of the owl’s habitat. Total program time is 45 minutes. Owl pellets are available for purchase to dissect in your classroom at a cost of $3.50/pellet. Owl pellets need to be ordered prior to the program by calling us at 306-975-3395.
