LOGINPD Day Zoo Camp
Another day with no school for the kids? Let the Saskatoon Zoo Society help you out. You provide the lunch and snacks and we’ll provide the wild adventures at the zoo.
Along with crafts and games, you’ll get to meet our animal ambassadors. It’s the perfect day for the young animal lover.
We do our best to accurately list the Saskatoon school districts that are off on the particular PD DAY listed below. However, it is always recommended that you check your school’s calendar before you register. Children from other school divisions are welcome to register for these programs (please check your school’s calendar to see if they correspond with the Saskatoon dates).
Winter Break Zoo Camp
This exciting four-day camp is all about having fun in the winter. Participants will meet some of the animal ambassadors, participate in winter activities, and make some cool crafts. Bring a lunch and snacks each day.
To celebrate our 50th Anniversary, our first way we are giving back to our wonderful supporters is to offer an amazing discount on our Winter Zoo Camp. Thanks to a grant from the City of Saskatoon Lotteries Fund, we are able to cover $160 towards each registration. Thank you for participating in one of our camps!
Note: This discount only applies to Winter Zoo Camp in February 2026.
Spring Break Zoo Camp
Join us for this four-day camp during the Spring Break. We’ll have fun with some of the animal ambassadors, make some crafts, play some games, tour the Zoo, and work with the Zookeepers. Bring a lunch and snacks each day.
Summer Zoo Camp
Spend a week at the zoo! We’ll get to know our animal friends with help from the Saskatoon Zoo Society interpreters and Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo Zookeepers. There will be lots of hands-on experiences, crafts, and games all designed to have fun at the zoo. Bring a lunch and 2 snacks each day.
Zoo Camp structure repeats each week with the same activities, crafts and animal experiences, for this reason, we limit registrations to ONE week only per family.
Before and After Care will be available
Before care: 8am to 9am
After care: 4pm to 5pm
You can choose both or either am/pm for the week
Important: READ over the CAMP Notices at the bottom of this page BEFORE you register!
Junior Zookeeper Camp
NEW! Unleash your inner explorer this summer with an exclusive, hands-on adventure designed for youth ages 13-15. Go behind the scenes to work alongside the zookeepers, mastering nature skills and connecting with incredible wildlife in the outdoors. To celebrate our landmark 50th Anniversary, we are offering an unprecedented 50% discount on registration for all campers. Spots are limited for this golden anniversary season, so secure your place today.
This is primarily an OUTDOOR CAMP.
To help you decide if our Jr. Zookeeper Camp is the best environment for your child’s success, please consider the following:
Support Ratio: Does my child thrive in a group of up to 12 peers with one supervising counsellor, or do they currently require 1-on-1 support to navigate their school day or even a portion of their day?
Self-Regulation: Can my child manage their needs (applying sunscreen, staying hydrated, changing wet clothes, etc.) with minimal supervision?
Safety: Can my child consistently stay within a designated (but unfenced) boundary and follow safety instructions the first time they are given? Can my child regulate their emotions without outbursts or any physical altercations?
Environment: Is my child comfortable with dirt, bugs, rain, and the high-volume noise of outdoor group activities?

Camp Notices
Warning: ALLERGY ALERTS: Nuts, Food, Animals, Animal Bedding.
Please be aware that if your child has a severe contact allergy (not an ingestion allergy) that some of the animals are fed nuts and peanut butter.
Our Zoo Camps are NOT a safe environment for children with severe contact allergies to nuts or other food types, or animals and/or their bedding material. This affects all of our camps as we go behind the scenes to various zoo keeper only locations. Please inform the Saskatoon Zoo Society of any allergies your child may have.
Special Needs: We strive for a safe, fun environment for all our participants; however, our staff is not trained to accommodate every special need. To ensure our camps remain inclusive and safe for everyone, please contact the Saskatoon Zoo Society directly to discuss ANY special needs your child may have BEFORE you register, so our program staff can determine what accommodations can be made to ensure a great camp experience for all.
